Kaz Design Works Facebook Page
Social Network Marketing has been around for a few years now and we have been using Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to connect with colleagues, business associates and potential clients. But we felt it was time to use the latest trend to give us more brand recognition and showcase what we do as well as enhance our web presence. So we recently created a Facebook page where our clients, colleagues and business associates can see what we're up to without leaving their favourite social media website. Join us on Facebook and become a fan.
New magazine for business women
In March 2010, we are publishing a pocket-book magazine primarily targeting business women, female entrepreneurs and women about to embark on a new career, as well as women with busy lives. Published quarterly, the magazine's goal is to support local women at all stages of their business:
- by providing a medium on which to promote their business to their target market
- by featuring articles that inform, inspire and ignite their passion for success
With a circulation of 3,000 print copies, the magazine will be distributed and available for free throughout Waterloo Region, Wellington County and surrounding areas, as well as online to a global audience, 24/7, 365 days of the year, who can choose to read it as a Flash Flip Book or downloadable PDF to read offline or print and read at their leisure. Print copies will also be available by mailed subscription.
If your target audience is women, don't miss this great opportunity to promote your business.
We are looking for women from all walks of life, especially business women, who wish to share their expertise and experiences with like-minded women. The magazine will be a fabulous opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge as well as promote your business or organization. The magazine offers several advertising options, as well as huge discounts to first issue advertisers, especially those who commit to all four issues in 2010. All advertisers and article contributors will receive a business listing on the magazine's website.
If you are interested in submitting an article, advertising your business or subscribing to this magazine please email us at info@kazdesignworks.ca. To advertise in our first issue please contact us before 1st February to ensure your spot.
Please read our blog to take part in our Web Poll to choose a name for the new magazine.
Save money on printing and distribution...
Kaz Design Works now offers flip catalogues that can be fully-integrated into your website. No hosting fees by third-party flip catalog sites, no third-party advertisements on your catalog's intro pages and no annual fee.
When we create a brochure for you, we can convert your PDFs to a flip catalogue that your customers can browse online, 24/7/365, enabling you to reach a much wider audience whilst saving you several bucks in both printing and distribution costs. And if you already have a print brochure, we can convert that too.
We will charge a one-time set-up fee to prepare your catalogue for viewing online, plus a per page amount to add pages. And if you need to add, remove or change a page later on, it won't cost you an arm and a leg to do so.
Kaz Design Works is evolving
When we started our business two years ago, we had a goal: to help start-ups and other small businesses evolve. And, in the beginning, like other most start-ups we were reluctant to spend vast sums of money on marketing material. However, this fall we were determined to get noticed, which meant attending trade shows and other events with a display, not just as a visitor.
So, we began by creating a banner but the butterfly used in our earlier marketing material, was cropped from a very dull background, and could not be used.
It was time to evolve our branding with a new, more vibrant butterfly photo for all our marketing material. And, of course, we wanted our website to match too. So this week we launched our new look website.
Please take a few minutes to check out some of the new features. If you need new print material or a website design be sure to check out the graphic design & website design services on offer. And, if you need help with planning your website don't forget to browse through the resources section
Send us your feedback. Let us know what you think of the new design.
Kaz Design Works joins POWE
In January 2009, POWE (Power of Women Exchange) Kitchener-Waterloo Chapter opened its doors in Kitchener. This national networking organization has great benefits for entrepreneurial women, including member profile on their website, member-to-member discounts, networking opportunities at all POWE chapter events and not to mention the ability to create and build fantastic business relationships and friendships with other members.
This is why, in October, Kaz Design Works decided to become a member and has already benefited by being able to help the organization to create some of their event flyers and web-mail. After only a month as a member, owner, Karen Coleman has already established some great business alliances with other members as well as developing some wonderful friendships.
If you wish to know more about POWE and the benefits of joining the organization, or to register to become a member, visit the POWE website.
Creating awareness for colorectal cancer
On July 13th, a new website, www.cyclingforacure.ca, was launched to help Cambridge couple, Joseph and Karen, raise funds for the Ride to Conquer Cancer. They are on a mission to raise a minimum of $15,000 by next June for colorectal cancer research, care and eduction.
Designed and hosted by Kaz Design Works, the website's goal is to create more awareness for the 2nd leading cause of death by cancer in Canada as well as help generate funds for colorectal cancer research. The website includes fundraising dates, information about colorectal cancer and banner ad spots for corporate donors, plus links to the Ride to Conquer Cancer, colorectal cancer websites and other cancer-related websites.
To help them reach their goal, to learn more about colorectal cancer or to donate, visit their website at www.cyclingforacure.ca. You can also help them kick colorectal cancer in the butt by joining their Facebook cause and following them on Twitter.
No boundaries
Kaz Design Works is located in Cambridge, Ontario which means we are perfectly situated for serving the Waterloo Region, as well as surrounding areas of Wellington South and the west side of Halton. But through networking, we often come into contact with business owners whose companies are located in towns further afield, such as Milverton, Wingham and Fergus.
We never pass up the opportunity of helping such businesses establish themselves on the internet. This year we have helped businesses gain their web presence in Stratford, Elora and Elmira. Below we feature two of these websites.
